SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND ITS RIGHTEOUSNESS
And so today, I realized there was something my lover has been calling my attention to.
Recently, I had noticed the verse that spoke about seeking the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness popping up at intervals before me and I really didn’t know why until I began to write Him a letter this morning [it’s a habit of mine to write detailed letters to Him from time to time].
While writing, He led me to a podcast by Dearly Ebere and same verse was explained there and it literally felt as though my letter was being responded to by the words she spoke and I learnt better.
I was done writing and I said a short prayer about to close my journal when He yet again, led me to a podcast episode by Ma Ezinne Zara titled Seeking First The Kingdom and it was then My Lover ministered even more to me what the verse really meant and why I’ve had it ringing for a while.
Seeking First the kingdom entails making the will of Abba the topmost priority of your living and in knowing His will, you must know Him and fellowship with Him.
In Ma Ezinne Zara’s words she said the Holy Spirit told her that;
“The greatest ambition of your heart when you come before me should be to know me, to fellowship with me and not necessarily what you can get from me”
Now, in fellowshipping with God or in staying to know the will of God and live in it, you don't do that simply by going to Him with the intent of compelling Him to give you that which you desire, but that you lose yourself and gain the revelation of God He has to unveil to you.
Having the revelation of God and living in fellowship with Him is as well the revelation of you in Him;
Before He formed you, He knew you
And so, getting to know more of God, Seeking Him continually [1 Chronicles 16:11] brings you to a reality of the ‘You’ He knows before time.
Revelation of God~ Revelation of you He knows
Seeking the kingdom is having God as the only one your gaze is fixed on; Following Him as He leads. The beautiful thing is that you do not seek alone; you seek in Him, for Him and you get Him as your reward.
Seeking God does not work with you having a picture of what you intend to gain but a picture of you following God over and over and over again, become the ‘You’ He knows.
Seeking God gets you to gradually conform to the ‘You version that attracts every other thing. Scripture says;
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you
~Matthew 6:33
It didn't say
“You’ll be added into those things”,
Neither did it say
“ you’ll be brought to live in those things”
It says;
“…Every other thing will be added unto you”
So, it’s like an attraction law or something and that is when the kingdom [not your desires, will or wants] is your sole focus [is right in front of you]; When your gaze is fixed on the kingdom, while you follow through all paths leading to the kingdom, all other things gets added to you.
You become like a magnet but this time, you attract all that the Kingdom [ which your gaze is fixed on] gives.
I realized how for the tiniest bit, my focus was gradually drifting as I have allowed myself be more clouded by several things and thoughts of what I should have and what I thought I needed other than staying put my focus on Him.
Grateful I am that my love yet again has a way of calling us back. I mean, who’d have thought I was being distracted with the issues of life and here I was thinking I was just in line.
Pheeewww…
The Holy Spirit, He’s the greatest perfect lover
My Love Till Eternity😍🕊
